This is a "wow" story. It's from a letter written by a Jewish leader to a Protestant leader over issues pertaining to Israel and the Middle East.A great Hasidic rebbe was surrounded by his disciples, each of whom professed their love for the master. He turned to them and said: "Do you know what causes me pain?"
The disciples were taken aback by the question, for none knew the answer.
The master then addressed them, "Do not imagine that you can love me without an understanding of what causes me pain."
